After an exhaustive review of his experience and vetting by the Texas Bar, he was authorized to sit for a two day exam where his family law knowledge was extensively tested. Earl Jackson passed this exam and is now considered a family law specialist.

Earl Jackson is a graduate of Texas A&M School of Law formally known as Texas Wesleyan School of Law. He excelled in his studies and as a result was nominated to the Texas Wesleyan Law Review where he was elected to the office of Managing Editor for the Texas Wesleyan Law Review.
Earl Jackson graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1984. His grandmother, Margie, graduated from S.M.U. in 1918 - the second class. His father, Earl, also attended S.M.U. but was not able to finish his studies there due to his service in World War II.
Earl Jackson graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in 1979.
Family Life:
Earl and his wife Barbara (“Babs”) have been married for thirty four years (October 14, 1989).
Earl and Babs have three children - Patton, Alexander (“Stoney”) and Janey. Patton is a graduate of Oklahoma University, is married to his lovely wife Grace. Their first child, Little Patton (“LP”), was born November 1, 2022. Stoney is a graduate of University of Missouri as an engineer and works for a large avionics firm. He is engaged to his long term girlfriend and will be married December 7, 2024. The youngest, Janey, is attending the University of Tennessee and is a Senior. She is studying Management Information Systems.
Religious Life:
Earl Jackson’s faith is Christianity. His home traditional church is Highland Park Presbyterian. Both his Grandfather and Father were elders at HPPC and Earl was the first HPPC teen mission to a foreign county. He is also a founding member of Park Cities Presbyterian. In 2006, he decided to participate in the RCIA program at St. Rita Catholic Church and was confirmed at Easter Vigil 2007. Today, he attends the Branch Church in Farmers Branch, Texas.
Fraternal Organization:
Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, Grand Lodge of Texas. Earl is a Master Mason and has served Tannahill 52 as Master of the Lodge.
York Rite - Earl is a Knight Templar with the York Rite, a masonic appendant body. The York is Christian based. To be a member one must confess Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Shriners International - Earl is a member of Shriners International. The Shriners, the Clown Go Cart Guys, fund and operate some of the finest children’s hospitals in the world. Earl regularly engages in various fund raising activities for the Shriners.
Boy Scouts of America - Order of the Arrow. Both of his sons, Patton and Stoney, are Eagle Scouts from Troop 838, Dallas, Texas. Earl served Troop 838 as High Adventure Chair where he led two expeditions to the Big Bend National Park, two expeditions to Florida Sea Base and developed and led the troop’s annual Wolf Creek Ski Trip for 10 years.
Earl was elected by the young men of Troop 838 to the BSA National Honor Society “Order of the Arrow.”
Wood Badge. Earl earned his Wood Badge (Wood Badge 97) while serving Troop 838. Wood Badge is a leadership training program requiring completion of various service projects. Some consider it the adult equivalent of the Eagle Rank.
Knights of Columbus. Earl joined the Knights shortly after becoming confirmed in the Catholic Church. It is a men’s service organization.
Sigma Chi Fraternity. Earl was initiated into the fraternity Sigma Chi while attending SMU. He regularly attends SX alumni socials and luncheons.
Hobbies:
Earl Jackson loves to hike and camp out under the stars. He has traversed Big Bend National Park on many occasions and led two Boy Scout treks there for Troop 838, Dallas, Texas.
Earl Jackson loves to shoot clay birds and hunt dove in the Fall. He is also a member of Ferndale Fishing Club near Pittsburg, Texas where he and his family enjoy fishing .
Earl Jackson enjoys reading his books - history, economics and politics. One of the most influential books he ever read, other than the Bible, is Ann Rand’s Atlas Shrugged - “Who is John Galt.” He is currently working his way through Will Durant’s History of Civilization - an eight volume tome.
